E-Waste
The West Virginia State Legislature passed Senate Bill 398 prohibiting the disposal of Covered Electronic Devices (CEDs). As of January 1, 2011, TELEVISIONS, COMPUTER TOWERS, LAPTOPS and MONITORS are banned from being disposed of in WV State landfills.
Our goal is to make it easy for people to recycle their E-Waste. We feel that a simple and cost effective method for electronics recycling and disposal for consumers is the best way to help our environment and the communities we serve.
Upon arrival at the RCSWA landfill, customers that have E-Waste (Televisions, Computer Towers, Laptops and Monitors) shall notify the Scale Attendant of the E-Waste and the Scale Attendant will direct the customer to the proper drop-off location. There is no additional charge for the E-Waste Recycling.
